Classic Looks for Kitchens
Kitchens with a high-contrast color combination have been popular for some time now and their popularity shows no signs of waning. A combination of a dark stain and a light paint is a classic look that will age gracefully in the years to come. There certainly are some trends that can be identified in later years as a by-gone look from the 70s or 80s or even the 90s. But this classic mix of colors will not fall into that category and homeowners and designers alike should feel confident that this look will be lasting.
Presently, popular stain colors like Dura Supreme's Cocoa Brown or Peppercorn are being selected and mixed with a contrasting paint like White or Classic White. Over time, we may see less of the ultra high-contrast looks with stain colors like Mocha or Hazelnut being mixed with more off-white paint hues like Antique White or Latte. Regardless of the mix of colors, it’s clear that these high-contrast looks are a big hit among homeowners and on home interior websites like www.houzz.com, the most popular images feature these high-contrast looks.
