Cabinetry Showroom: "This is exactly what I want!"

Shelley Lober and her talented team at Kitchens of Diablo in Danville, CA regularly update and invest in their beautiful showroom to make sure it represents the most current products and design trends.  This investment is important because it’s her most effective tool in demonstrating how her customers' kitchens will look and function, and how various products (tile, countertops, lighting, appliances, etc.) will work together.

“Our customers appreciate our showroom and all of the features and design ideas we demonstrate.  It’s one of the many things that sets us apart from our competition. Our customers have confidence in what we are designing for their homes because they have seen it in our showroom.”

Shelley’s most recent display showcases what she refers to as “soft contemporary”.  It includes high-gloss acrylic doors with textured foil doors in an intriguing mix of materials that a homeowner could envision within their traditional or transitional home.

She explains, “Soft contemporary is not boring or sterile, it includes sleek surfaces and simple design lines but it also includes interesting features like tile and hardware that add texture, bling and a focal point! I picked the mix of acrylic and textured foil because it looks so good together and is an unexpected combination with great texture!”

Dura Supreme partners with outstanding designers and businesses like Shelley who are experts in their field and understand the importance of investing in ongoing training, staying current with trends and updating their showrooms to demonstrate current and future products.  Having a showroom that demonstrates a wide variety of current looks and styles is important in helping homeowners envision their new kitchen.

Shelley explains, “We want to appeal to a variety of different tastes and styles with our showroom displays.  Many times we have a homeowner come in, look around our showroom and then point to a specific display and say “This is exactly what I am looking for!”

Because customer tastes are so varied, having displays that demonstrate traditional, transitional and contemporary design is ideal.  “Our immediate surrounding area is more traditional in taste but we are only 25 minutes from San Francisco which has a more contemporary influence.  We added a contemporary display so we could demonstrate our skill and expertise in contemporary design and show the breadth of our product offering.  We have a lot of people interested in contemporary and they want to be able to see it demonstrated in our showroom.”
