Color Trends: Navy Blue is on the Rise
Navy Blue has slowly become a popular color for interior design and kitchens, and is one of those colors that will be classic and timeless for the long term. Paired with a white or gray paint, along with a medium brown stain color like Dura Supreme's "Toast" or "Cappuccino", Navy Blue is destined to be a popular theme in home interiors!

Taking a nod from nautical inspired design, Navy Blue within all areas of the home is beautiful as an accent or as a main color. Hardware and metal finishes in either a nickel finish or a brushed brass finish are stunning with Navy Blue. (On-trend brushed brass finishes stay consistent with a nautical appeal.)
One of the reasons this color will stand the test of time is that it works so well with popular neutral color schemes of gray, white, taupe or beige. It can work well with traditional-inspired interiors, as well as transitional and modern.
Within kitchen cabinetry, Navy Blue is usually going to be used as an accent color, either within a small area of cabinetry (like a hutch or island) or as a wall color and within the plateware and decorative accents.
