Top it Off - Molding Treatments

Decorative molding is one of the easiest ways to add additional detail and dimension into your kitchen or bath project. Even the smallest of details will make the most difference and have the biggest impact on the overall design of the room. When used creatively, molding brings character and style to the design.

While molding designs can vary from simple to complex, a simple one-piece or single layer of decorative molding will add a richly detailed look on even the simplest of designs. Complex molding treatments (two or more pieces of molding stacked together) allow for greater design flexibility and add additional detailing.

Multi-Piece Crown Molding Treatment for topping off cabinets.

In addition to using decorative molding on the top of cabinetry, molding can be added to the bottom of the wall cabinets for additional detailing as well as concealing the under cabinet lighting.

However, decorative molding does not have to be limited to just the top and bottom of wall cabinets. Consider using a decorative corbel or bracket within the design. Decorative turned posts can be used to add interest in between cabinets or on an island to provide support for the countertop. The possibilities are endless!
