2015 Kitchen & Bath Style Report
Every year The National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) surveys their members of kitchen and bath designers across the United States and Canada. Their responses provide insight into design trends that will take hold in the kitchen and bath market in 2015. While broad trends won't be evident in every local market, the following are the top 3 overall trends for kitchens and baths.
Clean & Contemporary
Clean with an overall contemporary feeling is the number one trend for 2015 for both the kitchen and the bath! Designers are noting the rapid acceptance of both transitional and contemporary designs among thier clients. Contemporary design is a feeling of spaciousness with more white space and less wall cabinetry along with a less formal overall style. Dura Supreme's Bria and Alectra Full-Access product lines which are available in a variety of contemporary door styles are the perfect solution to creating a contemporary space.
Mixing it Up!
Kitchens with multiple color schemes are emerging. We are seeing lots of white painted kitchen perimeters with dark stained islands. In fact, whites and off-whites are the most popular kitchen colors today with shades of gray as a close second.
Designers also noted an increase in furniture-type pieces being requested by their clients. Dura Supreme's new Furniture Bath Program was specifically designed to address this growing trend.
