Country Traditions

This collection of painted finishes is designed to look like a family heirloom with layers of finish and time-worn character marks.  Corners are softened, the surface is distressed and wormholed to create the appearance of age.  A base stain color is applied before the paint to create an underlying color.  After the paint is applied, the corners and edges are rubbed and worn to reveal the stain color beneath.  Then glaze is applied to the entire surface to create a brush-stroked look and to accentuate the carved details of the door.  Country Traditions is a collection of artistic, hand-applied finishes that will exhibit subtle variations with each application.
