Howard Lake, MN: During the Wooden Globe Awards at the 2018 Annual Woodworking Industry Conference (WIC 2018), Dura Supreme Cabinetry received top honors for Manufacturing Excellence through Technology. The Wooden Globe Awards are presented by the Woodworking Machinery Industry Association (WMIA).

Each year, WMIA recognizes extraordinary companies like Dura Supreme Cabinetry, with the prestigious Wooden Globe Awards. These awards are presented for notable success and achievements, accomplished in the use of high technology, machinery, software, innovation, and education in the woodworking industry.

Dura Supreme Cabinetry invested heavily in state-of-the-art equipment and technology despite the recession. The company managed to maintain profitability and growth throughout the crisis. Accepting the award was Perry Fails, President & COO for Dura Supreme Cabinetry, who stated: “I am convinced, more than ever, that the importance of investing in automation and new technology is vital to a company’s success.”

Dura Supreme Cabinetry recognizes that continued investment into technology is imperative to stay competitive in today’s market. Shortly after receiving the award, the company completed a major facility upgrade by expanding and upgrading their finish department. “These changes bring our finishing capabilities to a whole new level,” states Fails. “The newest enhancements save time, provide more flexibility, and overall elevate the finish quality”.

From its start in a garage to the 220,000 square foot manufacturing facility it is today, Dura Supreme Cabinetry has maintained a history of blending old-world craftsmanship with the latest in technology. “This history has allowed us to continuously adjust to ever-changing marketing demands.” Explained Fails, “By steadily updating our processes through incorporating proven technologies, we’ve managed to continually improve our quality, consistency, and production speeds while at the same time never sacrificing the true handcrafted aspects that our cabinetry is known for. That’s why our team has been so successful at providing our customers with products and services that exceed their expectations.”
